Bowden always has something to say these days--I say these days--he really always has. I remember when he was younger, though, not wanting him to move from that phase because the things he said and the way he percieved (or didn't) was very funny. Now that he's gotten a little older, it's still just as funny because he just calls it as he sees it and it's usually dead on.
So, recently, he's been talking A LOT about wanting a puppy. The names are different everyday, but the color is always the same-black. Anyway, last night, Jason had bible study at the house, so I put Bowden to bed. Once Jason wrapped up, he went in and checked on him. Bowden was still awake, laying face up with his hands behind his head. Jason said he looked deep in thought so he asked B what he was thinking about. He said, "the puppy I'm going to get," so Jason laid down beside him and said, "Well, tell me about the puppy you want." Bowden looked at him, and said, "Dad, can we talk about this later?" This was a little wierd because, like I said, Bowden usually doesn't pass up the chance to chat your ear off. When Jason asked why, Bowden said, "I think you need to go brush your teeth." Jason asked him if his breath stunk and Bowden said 'YES!' To add insult to injury, on Jason's way out the door, Bowden said, "DAD, DON'T FORGET TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH!!"
Priceless!!
